Where can I find the registration information to use Secure Reminder 30-day trial?
You don't need any registration key to use the trial. Just start using the program.
I purchased Secure Reminder. When will it be shipped?
Secure Reminder isn't a tangible item and it is not delivered as a package.

I purchased Secure Reminder. Should I uninstall the trial version?
You don't need to uninstall the trial version. You just need to register it with the Complete Registration information.
I have just purchased Secure Reminder. When will I receive the Complete registration information?
To prevent fraud, all orders are subject for fraud verification.
The Complete Registration information will be sent you after your order passes fraud verification.
It usually takes 2-3 hours.
How do I backup my notes and reminders database?
By default, Secure Reminder automatically creates backups of your notes and reminders database and the Address Book on program exit.
You can turn the automatic backup feature on or off at any time.
Double-click on the Secure Reminder desktop icon and select 'Administrative Tools'.
Under 'Options':
- to enable automatic backups, select the 'Backup Databases on exit' option.
- to disable automatic backups, remove the check mark for the 'Backup Databases on exit' option.
The names of backup files include the product version and the date of creation: backup_reminder_version_YYYY-MM-DD--HH-MM-SS.dat, e.g. backup_reminder_9.0_2009-04-30--06-29-58.dat
I am unable to run Secure Reminder. I got an initialization error and then the error message that notes database was corrupted. What do I do? How do I restore my notes and reminders?
These error messages mean that your dat file was corrupted. It may happen because of abnormal system or program shutdown.
By default, Secure Reminder automatically creates backups of your notes and reminders database and the Address Book on program exit.
This protects your notes from system failures and lets your revert to an older version of your notes and reminders database when necessary.
The names of backup files include the product version and the date of creation:
backup_reminder_version_YYYY-MM-DD--HH-MM-SS.dat, e.g. backup_reminder_9.0_2009-04-30--06-29-58.dat
All backups are saved in user's Documents and Settings folder:
for Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\MoRUN.net\Sr\
for Windows Vista C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\MoRUN.net\Sr\
To restore notes and reminders from a backup file:
Exit the program.
If you don't want to remove the current reminder.dat file, save it with another name or in another folder.
Then replace it with the necessary backup.
If you don't need the current reminder.dat file, just replace it with the necessary backup file.
Run Secure Reminder
I upgraded my version of Secure Reminder and then tried to import an old backup file and reminder.dat but the program does not appear to be able to find the old notes and reminders. What do I do to restore them?
You should use the export and import options to transfer your notes between versions. Backup files can't be imported.
Now to restore your notes and reminders from your old version and transfer them to the latest version you should do the following steps.

If you want to transfer your notes within the same major version (e.g. from v.8.7 to v.8.8, from v.9.0 to v.9.1,etc):

2. Install your old version of Secure Reminder and register it with the same registration information that you used before (it is important).
3. Exit the program and replace reminder.dat with the old database file (e.g. old_v_8.7_reminder_0_2008-08-26--HH-MM-SS.dat)
4. Run the program.
5. Export your notes database - double-click on the program desktop icon, select 'Export' and select where you want to save your notes database.
6. After you exported your notes and reminders, uninstall the old version.
7. Install a new version.
8. Import your notes and reminders - double-click on the program desktop icon and select 'Import'.

How do I convert the notes and reminders database to transfer notes database to Secure Reminder 9.x from earlier versions?
As Secure Reminder from v.9.0 has a new improved internal engine, you should convert your notes database (exported from an earlier version) to a new format before importing them to v.9.x.
1. Download the converter using the following link

2. It doesn't require any installation and registration. Just run the converter.exe.
3. In the 'File you want to convert' field, select the file that you need to convert (file exported from your old version).
4. In the 'Save converted file' field enter where you want to save the converted file.
5. Click the 'Convert' button.
How do I transfer Secure Reminder data between versions and products?

How do I export and import notes and reminders?

I don't want all reminder notes pop up every time I turn on my computer. What do I do?
Double-click the program on the program desktop icon and select Properties -> Administrative tools.
Select the desired 'Show Notes Mode on Start Up' mode.
Every time I create a desktop reminder I have to enter the password. I'm the only user of my computer. So I don't need high security. What do I do?
If you are the only user on the computer and don't need to create password-protected notes, you can choose a low security level.
For a low security level you can create new notes, work with existing notes or change the Administrative tools without a password.
You can change a program security level in the program Administrative tools.
How do I create multiple reminders databases?
If you need to create and use independent notes and address book databases for all users on your computer, you should select the 'Store independent databases for each PC user' option in the Administrative tools
This option is selected by default. A database for each user is stored in user's Documents and Settings folder:

for Windows Vista C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\MoRUN.net\Sr\
